A clear understanding
before you send.

The community desk receives tips and corrections for review. It is a standard web intake form, with the limits described below.

INDEPENDENT COMMUNITY WATCH · RECORD REVIEW: OCTOBER 30, 2026

What this website collects.

This release includes no advertising scripts, analytics tags, newsletter subscriptions, or user accounts. Reading the site does not require a form submission. The hosting and security providers may process standard connection data, such as IP address, browser information, requested URLs, and timestamps, to deliver and protect the service.

External assets and map providers.

The site’s landscape imagery, publication graphics, and Leaflet map library are included with this website. PDF links open archived documents on BlackCherryScam.com. Opening a PDF connects to that document host. The interactive map loads only after you choose to load it or select a map location. It then connects to USGS The National Map for topographic tiles. The Leaflet library is served from this site. These services receive standard request and connection information and apply their own policies.

The map does not request your device’s precise location. Facebook and X share links open external services only when selected. Their policies apply after you follow the link. The site does not embed their social-media tracking widgets.

Where a submission goes.

The tips form posts directly to Protect McKean County Wilds at protectmckeancountywilds.com/tips-submit.php. That receiving service handles the message and attachments. Cloudflare Turnstile provides the security check. The receiving service and security provider may process IP addresses, browser or device signals, timestamps, and file metadata to deliver the service and prevent abuse.

Name and email are optional. Required fields are the topic, subject, details, acknowledgment of these terms, and the security check. If you provide contact information, it may be used to clarify the submission or respond to your request. We will not intentionally publish your email address or private contact details without permission. A message and its factual contents may be considered for reporting after editorial review.

Use and limits of submitted material.

Submit material you can lawfully share. Do not upload passwords, financial-account information, medical records, unrelated private personal data, unlawfully obtained material, or documents you are prohibited from disclosing. Avoid attaching files containing location or other metadata you do not want the receiving team to see. The form accepts up to three PDFs or supported images, with a limit of 10 MB per file and 20 MB total in this interface; the receiving server may impose additional limits.

By submitting, you authorize the receiving team to review the material and consider relevant factual portions for public-interest reporting. Submission does not guarantee publication, a response, correction, or any particular outcome. Nothing is published automatically.

No promise of confidential or privileged communication.

This is not an attorney-client, legally privileged, emergency, or confidential whistleblower channel. No absolute anonymity, confidentiality, or security is promised. Submission and technical data may be accessed by the receiving team or its service providers and may need to be retained or disclosed as required by law.

Corrections, contact, and retention questions.

Use the community desk for a correction or a question about submitted information. Identify the relevant message without repeating sensitive data. The receiving service controls its retention settings; this website does not promise a fixed retention period, immediate deletion, or a particular response time.

If the security check or receiving site is unavailable, the form cannot confirm receipt. A successful security check alone does not mean the message was delivered. Look for a confirmation from the receiving site.

Effective October 30, 2026. These statements describe the features shipped in this release. Update this page before adding analytics, a new intake service, account features, or other data collection.
